Vox Link: A cool new app on Kickstarter to help gamers find games.

So this is pretty cool. These guys are designing an app for iOS and Android to make trolling Facebook to try to find people to play games with a thing of the past. It's still early on in development, but from the looks of things, it's gonna let you filter by game, location, AND level of play (because as a casual player it's never fun to get stomped by by someone who lives, breathes, sweats, and bleeds 40K)

While the app definitely seems to be designed with wargaming in mind, it looks like they're gonna include plenty of options for people looking to play board games and tabletop RPGs, too. So now that the mega-cooties are chilling out a bit and people are starting to come out of their bunkers, you can hopefully broaden your player options again.

On top of just the game finding aspects, they're also including a social media platform where you can watch videos from your favorite content creators and chat about your favorite games (or, more realistically, spam memes and argue about rule interpretations). All without worrying about your Facebook and twitter friends questioning your sanity.

The cool part about all of this is that you can use it FOR FREE. There are premium options for those who want to get deep into tournament and event organizing, but for the general gamers looking for buddies to play with, it wont cost you a dime. If the premium options strike your fancy though, the Kickstarter has a few tiers to get a nice discount on the option. Some even with beta testing options.

The only big hurdle this app is gonna have to get over is recruiting. A social app without people isn't gonna go far. They've got a few big names in the gaming community supporting them already, but they really need help getting the news about this out there. So if this seems like something you and your friends could use, you should hop on the Kickstarter and/or share the links with fellow gamers to just get the word out and hopefully grow the community by the time it launches. At the time of writing this, there's still 35 days to go on the Kickstarter, so go check it out!
